Employee growth, 1982-2001
The explosion in the global mobile market found Amdocs perfectly placed with the industry’s most advanced customer care and billing system. Becoming the world leader in this space, Amdocs went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 1998. In 1999, it acquired ITDS and started offering managed services. After the 2001 acquisition of Clarify, Amdocs became the only billing provider with a customer relationship management (CRM) offering. The burst of the dotcom bubble caught up with Amdocs in 2002, resulting in a net loss for the first time in the company’s history.
